//GROW FERAL\\
Weston super Mare, 2021 –
Grow Feral is a call to action to creatively engage with the natural world – to reimagine our shared spaces, and attend to the interconnected nature of things. Our activities aim to explore the symbiotic relationship of all of the natural world – humans, creatures, plants, land and earth, as a radical act of creating and growing, doing and being together. We do this by developing creative green projects, workshops, events and other socially engaged activities through hands-on making and doing sessions, with and for the benefit of communities.
We have created several micro-gardens in the town, including Open Return Gardens at Weston train station, a sculptural self-watering space designed by artist Jo Lathwood in the Italian Gardens; Lighthoouse Garden – a planted seating area inspired by Weston’s coastline outside the train station. We also particapte in caretaking the communal street gardens across the town.
Grow Feral has developed into an on-going project and Community Interest Company, engaging with various events, activities, and green networks in and around Weston super Mare. See the Grow Feral website HERE for more of our work.
